Evaluation Summary
Company Insights
Neostrata is owned by the company Kenvue. Hilde evaluates parent companies rather than individual brands. You can read more about why we think this approach is more helpful for consumers on our blog.
Kenvue is an absolute behemoth of a company, owning dozens of consumer brands including popular baby and personal care ones like Aveeno and Zarbee’s Naturals. There are some solid efforts underway at the company related to addressing their environmental impacts and creating benefits for people. But we are not particularly impressed with their overall approach in the ingredient safety arena - there are some gaps that need to be filled. We think there are real opportunities for leadership on environmental impact issues if the company decided to mature its programs and adopt a context-based approach to sustainability. We also see the need for more robust corporate accountability measures.
