Dr. Bronner’s offers a great example of leadership on some sustainability issues. The company scored particularly well on our People Benefits criteria. Many of their products have a number of certifications that we hold in particularly high regard. But we struggled at times to find sufficient information on specific topics included in our criteria. The company is a registered Public Benefit Corporation demonstrating real leadership when it comes to aligning their mission and their business decisions. They are very active on the public policy front, advocating on a variety of issues relevant to their industry and ethical business more broadly.
